Google's phone calling app, now available for download

The official phone calling app from Google has finally been released and is now available to download. This app, simply called Phone, offers various features to help you easily connect with your loved ones, block unwanted calls, and identify callers before answering, all presented in a user-friendly and intuitive design.

Experience peace of mind with Phone's powerful spam protection feature. It provides warnings about suspicious callers, ensuring that you can avoid unwanted calls from spammers, telemarketers, and scammers. The app also allows you to block specific numbers and prevent them from contacting you again.

Caller identification for added confidence

With Google's extensive caller ID coverage, you'll be able to see the name of the business that is calling you. This valuable information empowers you to answer calls with confidence and make informed decisions about whether or not to pick up.

No more waiting on hold ^{1, 5}

Forget about wasting time on hold during important calls. Phone's "Hold for Me" feature enables Google Assistant to wait on the line for you when a business puts you on hold. The app will then alert you when someone is ready to resume the conversation so that you can get back to your day without any hassle.

Analyze and manage unknown callers ^{1, 2}

Phone's Call Screen function acts as a filter for unknown callers. It automatically answers calls from unrecognizable numbers, filters out identified spammers without interrupting you, and provides valuable information about callers you don't recognize before deciding whether or not to answer.

With Phone, you no longer need to call your voicemail to check your messages. The app allows you to view and play your voicemails in any order, read transcriptions of the messages, and conveniently delete or save them directly from the app.
